He is survived by : his wife Lillian Jones; his children, Shirley Hough, Brenda Scott, Amos Jones, Jerry Manning, Ailean Brigman, Lillian McDavid, Miranda McPhatter and Delton Manning; and his sister Beatrice Purcell Barnett. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 17th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pauline T Buie Chapel (543 Vass Rd, Raeford, NC 28376). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, June 18th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Leach Springs Missionary Baptist Church (821 Arabia Rd, Raeford, NC 28376). A committal service was held on Tuesday, June 18th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the New Pilgrim Cemetery.
