He is survived by: his wife Dorene Bass of Benson; his sons, Mike Bass (Karen) of Four Oaks and Jimmy Beasley (Lou Ann) of Coats; his grandchildren, Megan Gurkin (Walt), Sarah Lewis (Matt) and Morgan Bass; his great grandchild Grayson Gurkin; and his sister Mallie Tew.
