He is survived by: his children, Niokie Cunningham, Gilbert Tillman Jr., Gena Steven Oxendine, Terri Tillman Beck, Nicholas Tillman, April Ellis and Michael McNeill; and his siblings, Marlyn McAllister, Haywood Rivers and Emmanuel McAllister. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
