He was predeceased by: his parents, Stafford Edward Gibson and Doris Clark Gibson; and his siblings, Ann Gibson Davis, Stafford Gibson (Sam) and Daniel Gibson (Danny).
He is survived by: his son David Ronald Harner of Raeford, NC.; and his brothers, Larry Gibson of Raeford, NC. and Lloyd Gibson of Raeford, NC.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
