He is survived by: his sons, Alex Garnes (Alicia) and Jeff Garnes (Thea); his grandsons, Daryel Lee Garnes III, Ethan Garnes, Will Garnes and Scott Garnes; and his siblings, Debbie and Rick. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
