He was predeceased by: his parents, John Duncan Buoyer and Sallie Clyde Howell; his wife Janet Cornwell Buoyer; and his siblings, Katie Margaret Childress, Bennie Lee Melvin, Hattie Marie Sacca, Myrtle Blackmon and Earl Duncan Buoyer.
He is survived by: his children, Lewis Duncan Buoyer (Ellen), Frances McDermott (Paul) and Mary Lynn Larson (Steve). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
