He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles F. Davis and Beulah C. Davis; and his wife Virginia C. Davis (Ginny). He is survived by: his children, Kathy MacDonald (John) of Winston-Salem, NC, Chuck Davis (Sue) of Southern Pines, NC and Kevin Davis (Judy) of Raeford, NC; and his grandchildren, Katie Meyer (Ben), John MacDonald (Sarah), Lee Haithcock (Ray), Charlie Davis (Megan), Jennifer Davis and Alyssa Frick (Dylan).
