He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey James Cook Sr. and Mary Florence Lindsay Cook; and his brothers, Dewey Cook Jr. and Don "Ace" Cook. He is survived by: his children, Charles Marshal Cook Jr. (Carrie) of Hope Mills, NC and Pamela Riefkohl (Uroyoan) of Southern Pines, NC; his siblings, Ricky Cook (Ellon) of Hope Mills, NC and Mary Gail Inman (Jimmy) of Fayetteville, NC; his sister-in-law Wanda Cook; his grandchildren, Trevor Zimmerman, Tyler Cook, Cody White, Kailey Whitaker, Uro Riefkohl, Chad Jackson and Maddie Evans; and his great grandchildren, Titus Zimmerman, Naiomi Cook and Kaison Cook. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
