With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles David Averette of Raeford, North Carolina, born in Cumberland, North Carolina, who passed away on August 15, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Vance Averette and Louise McArthur Averette. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Michael David Averette (Mitzi) of Raeford, Steven David Averette (Tracy) of Raeford and Maria Averette Purvis (Tim) of Raeford; his grandchildren, Mitchell Averette (Brianna), Chelsea Elizabeth Averette, Carly Diane Averette and Brock Goetz Averette; and his stepgrandchildren, Tiffany Vega, Carl Vega, Angel Vega, Stephanie Allen, Haleigh Allen Grody (Sean), Jeffrey Allen (Lucy) and Austin Brisson'. He is also survived by 16 Step Great Grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.
