He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Ellis Currie and Bernice Frances Wright Currie; his wives, Myrtle Green Currie and Ruth Morton Currie; and his brothers, Eddie Currie and Roger Wayne Currie (Buck).
He is survived by: his siblings, Frances C. Hawkins of Laurinburg, Kenneth Currie (Ruth) of Raeford, Ralph Currie of Raeford, Tommy Currie of Wagram and David Currie of Wagram. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
