She is survived by: her husband Mallory Ransom; her children, Bruce Kodger (Gina) of Lumberton, Mississippi, Tammy Simmons of Nashville, TN, Jason Ranson of Raeford, NC, Stephen Ranson (Nina) of Virginia Beach, VA and Tina Avant of Wilmington, NC.; and her siblings, Carolyn Lowery of Laurinburg, NC, Terry Ray Lowery (Johanna) and Gary Lowery of Nashville, TN.. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
