It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Troy Church of Purlear, North Carolina, who passed away on July 20, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy A. Church and Lora Mae Faw Church; his former wife Mildred Brown Church; and his sister Mattie Blackburn. He is survived by: his wife Carol South Church; his son Terry Church (Carmen); his grandchildren, Philip Church of North Wilkesboro and Julia Hardy (Louis) of North Wilkesboro; his stepchildren, Sylvia Church (Steve) of Wilbar, Lisa Staley (Archie) of Wilbar, Gary South (Patty) of Wilbar and Larry South (Janet) of Wilbar; his sisters, Janie English of Drexel and Sue Shoemaker of Biloxi, Mississippi; his half-siblings, Linda Wagoner and Troy Alton Church; and his stepsister Betty Hoke of Icard. He is also survived by two great grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; and twelve step great grandchildren.
