He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Ayers, Sr. and Bertha Cardwell Ayers; and his brothers, J. C. Ayers and Johnnie "Fred" Ayers, Jr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Tammy Eggers (Michael) of Millers Creek, Molly Roten (Clayton) of Purlear and Rex Ayers of Purlear. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
