She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Higdon and Lilly Cochran Higdon; and her husband Billy Joe Fox. She is survived by: her children, Emma Jean Peterson (Larry) of Myrtle Beach, SC and James Wyles (Mary Ann) of Purlear; her grandsons, Daniel Adams Wyles (Rowena), Luke Anthony Wyles (Emily), James Peterson (Naomi) and David Peterson; her great grandchildren, Taylor Dawn Wyles, Hunter Jordan Wyles, Micah Cooper, Lizzie Wyles, R. J. Wyles, James Barstow Peterson, Jr., Emily Jean Peterson and Kera Stone; and her siblings, Elizabeth Higdon Head of Purlear, Daphane Mace (Chris) of Morganton, Jack Higdon (Marty) of Purlear and T. D. Higdon of Waynesville.
