He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward "Ed" and Maie Combs Johnson; his wife Anita McNeil Johnson; his children-in-law, Brenda Church Johnson and Jerry Farrington; and his siblings, Hazel Prevette, Katie Lee Johnson, Madia Pauline Johnson, Mary Lois Dillard, Mozelle Johnson, Ruth Propeck, Carlos Johnson, Dwight Johnson, Eugene "Chum" Johnson, Virgil Johnson and Wayne Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Pattie Farrington and Randy Johnson of Purlear; his grandchildren, Melonie Kilby of Purlear, Derek Kilby of Purlear and Lory Farrington of Charlotte; his stepgrandsons, Kevin Farrington (Crystal) of Hays and Jason Farrington (Michele) of Hays; his great grandchildren, Aerobella Kilby and Dahlia Kilby; and his sister Annie Lou Brown.
