With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hobert Allen Yates of Purlear, North Carolina, who passed away on August 21, 2021 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Manfield and Minnie Huffman Yates; his son Bobby Lee Yates; his granddaughter Dakota Serenity Sharpe; his siblings, Herman Huffman and Inez Royal; and his son-in-law Steven Huffman.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Wyatt Yates; his children, Keith Allen Yates (Sandy Call Yates) of Cricket and Norma Renea Huffman of Purlear; his brother Junior Yates of Wilkesboro; his grandchildren, Dylan Yates of Wilkesboro, Hayden Huffman of Purlear, Mason Huffman of Purlear, Layla Huffman of Harmony, Catherine Yates of Cricket and Hope Yates of Cricket; his great grandchild Vincent Yates of Traphill; and his sister-in-law Betty Huffman of North Wilkesboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
