He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Edward and Hessie Triplette Church; his wife Glenda Huffman Church; his sons, Danny Ray Church and Eric Clyde Church; and his siblings, Ruby Church and Gwyn Church.
He is survived by: his sons, Randy Church (Melissa) of Purlear and Ronnie Church of Moravian Falls; his grandchildren, Alexis Church, Shandi Church, Eric Church, Elizabeth Church, Brandon Church, Ronnie Church and Michelle Coffey; and his siblings, Barbara Greene, Christine Nichols, Helen Elmore and Ralph Church. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
