She was predeceased by: her parents, Jonathan Franklin and Candis Elizabeth Hart Blevins; her husband Pete Higgins; her son Ricky Gale Higgins; and her sisters, Lettie Walls, Ommia Blevins and Goldie Osborne.
She is survived by: her children, David Higgins (Rosie) of Crumpler, Rosemae Huffman (Donald) of Purlear and Mary Wyatt (Joe) of Purlear; her grandchildren, Angela Bickford (Jason) of West Jefferson, Daniel Higgins of Crumpler, Brady Wyatt of Purlear and Dalton Ware of Purlear; her great grandchildren, Skylar Bickford and Aubree Bickford; and her siblings, Faye Walls of Whitetop, Virginia and Lester Blevins of Whitetop, Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
