He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaines J. Wiley and Nancy Boswell Wiley; his wife Addie R. Wiley of Blanch, NC.; and his siblings, Morris C. Wiley, Chesley G. Wiley and Anne W. Sizemore. He is also survived by children of his own, he was a loving uncle and father figure for the many nieces and nephews.
