He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Garrett Bowe Covington and John Henry Bowe; his son Ray Bowe; and his siblings, Eleanor McNeill, Dorris Harper and Wilbert Bowe.
He is survived by: his wife Clara Mebane Bowe; his children, Kevin Bowe (Theresa) of Marion, AR and Deidre Bowe of Danville, VA; his grandchildren, Chymaiah, Zoe Bowe of Marion, AR, Tamyra and Anthony Brown of Danville, VA; his daughter-in-law Camille Bowe of Los Angeles, CA; and his siblings-in-law, Faye Jeffries of Austin, TX and George Mebane of Houston, TX. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
