He was predeceased by: his parent David Henry Sartin; and his sister Mary Fannie Sartin Hodges (James). He is survived by: his parent Mary Ema Sledge Sartin; his wife Betty English Motley Sartin; his son David Sledge Sartin, Jr.; his wife Jane; his grandsons, David Sledge Sartin, III and Daniel Motley Sartin; and his sister Ruby Sartin Hovatter (Gerald). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
