He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Barbour and Cora Walden Barbour. He is survived by: his wife Frances Boswell Barbour; and his stepchildren, Charlotte Haynie of Lampasas, TX, Jane Barbour of Fredericksburg, TX, Janet Gillispie of Danville, VA, Ralph Thompson of Durham, NC and Phillip Thompson of Gibsonville, NC. He is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
