He is survived by: his wife Janice Marie Dove Irby; his children, Crystal Ward (Norman) of Snow Camp, NC and William Toby Giles (Susan) of Danville, VA; his grandchildren, Faith Giles, Jacob Ward, Mary Giles, Toby Giles, Jr. and Madelyn Giles; and his great grandchild Paisley Giles.
