He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Alvis Oakley and Hassie Kate Satterfield Oakley; and his siblings, Moses, Henry, Robert, Calvin Oakley, Mary Lou, Katie Sue, Violet, Joan, Katherine, Dorothy, Rebecca, Ruth and Corina.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Geraldine Blaylock Oakley; his children, Al Oakley (Cindy) of Roxboro and Angela Foster (Tim) of Mebane; his grandchildren, Anna Willis (Jason) and Nathan Oakley (Jamie); and his great grandchildren, Savannah and Jack Willis.
