She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Collins and Inez Smith Collins; her husband Milton Brumbles; her son Jeffrey Brumbles; and her siblings, Eugene Collins, Laverne Collins, Rachel Taylor and Lorraine Setzer.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Brumbles (Christi) of Harrisburg, NC, Penny Byrd and Tammy Musselwhite (Ronald) of Pink Hill, NC. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
