She is survived by: her sister Nancy Coley Howell; her daughters, Linda Delores Sims of Greensboro, NC and Jacqueline Jones (Oscar) of Princeton; her grandchildren, Reginald O'Keith Atkinson of Raleigh, NC, Cheryl Atkinson, Jennifer Atkinson of Washington, DC, Ralmaranda Best of Princeton, NC, Zaylister Raquel (Edward) of McLeansville, NC, Shena Sterling of Norcross, Georgia, Lynnette Atkinson of Greenville, NC and Sharvette Williams of Kernersville, NC; her sister Prescilla Newsome of Virginia; her sister-in-law Annie Mae Wiley of Goldsboro, NC; her great grandchildren, Lakita, Donnell, Brianna, Davyne, Jessica, Adryan, Malcolm, Christopher, Justyn, Nicole, Chandler, Jalen, Avante, Zoe, Zion and Ethan; her great great grandchildren, Janaya, Trey, Kammy, Keelan, Niki and Zackari; her children, Mary Robinson, Faye Holloman, Robert Atkinson (Doris), Danny Atkinson (Gloria) and Barbara Jean Witherspoon; and her close friend Jeanette Powell. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and others who called her Mama Nit, Granny, Nana.
Due to COVID-19, the Governor of North Carolina has asked that all gatherings be limited to no more than 50 people including staff and all attendees such as clergy, ushers, musicians, etc.
