He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sanders and Everlee Narron Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Sanders; his daughter Lena Saunders of Princeton, NC; his son-in-law Timothy O'Neal of Princeton, NC; his grandchildren, Jimmy Saunders of Pikeville, NC, Timothy Saunders of Selma, NC, Anthony Saunders of Clayton, NC, Demetrius Saunders of Princeton, NC, Jasmine Oneal of Princeton, NC and Jennifer Oneal of Princeton, NC; his granddaughter-in-law Latasha Williams of Princeton, NC; and his sisters, Doris Lacey of Raleigh, NC, Evelyn Imade' of Newark, NJ and Twalla. He is also survived by 14 great grand children.
Due to COVID-19, the Governor of North Carolina has asked that all gatherings be limited to no more than 50 people including staff and all attendees such as clergy, ushers, musicians, etc.
