She was predeceased by: her parents, Berry Major and Mattie Pearce Jones; her husbands, Otis King Hinnant and Paul Bailey Sr.; her son Shelton "Sam" King Hinnant; and her siblings, Rachel Allen, Allene Harris, Hilda Gurley, Otena Quinn, Myrtle Holland, Nellie Enciso, Linda Jones, Brenda Jones, Elvin Jones and David Jones.
She is survived by: her son Jerry Dean Hinnant (Hayden) of Tampa, Florida; her daughter-in-law Belinda Hinnant of Kenly; her sister-in-law Sally Jones of Goldsboro; her grandchildren, Suzanne Brooks (Paul), Kathryn Hinnant, Dr. Taylor Hinnant (Todd Mendenhall) and Sarah Hinnant; and her great grandchildren, Ethan Brooks and Lucas Brooks. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Howell Funeral Home & Crematory (1500 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
