She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Pugh and Gladys Pugh; her husband Fred Stevens Routh; her daughter Donna Kirby; and her siblings, Charles Pugh and Irene Kirkman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kim Dean (Dwayne) of Pikeville and Sandra "Sandy" Barnes (Dean) of Goldsboro; her son-in-law Ernie Kirby; her sister Lois Edwards of Asheboro; her grandchildren, Hunter Dean (Anna), Kennedy Dean, Stephen Tart (Dani) and Caroline Warmack (Kyle); and her great grandchildren, Brooks Dean, Reece Dean and Dorothy Ray Warmack.
