It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Woodard Edwards of Princeton, North Carolina, who passed away on October 8, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father William "Bill" Williford; and her husband Rexford E. Woodard. She is survived by: her children, Rex Woodard Jr. (Janet) of Bentonville, Janice Woodard Cooke (Donnie) of Goldsboro and Brenda Woodard Herring (Greg) of Rockingham; her brother Jesse Williford of Rosewood; and her grandchildren, Chris Woodard, Jay Herring (Heather), Marcus Herring (Emilie) and Alicia Cox Stevens (Brad). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
