He was predeceased by: his siblings, Emma Holloman Nichols, Linwood Earl Nichols, Becky Nichols Price and Emma Jean Nichols. He is survived by: his siblings, Ray Nichols (Ruth) of Jerry Nichols, J. P, Clay Nichols, Patsy Nichols Boyce (Bobby) and Carolyn Nichols Lusk (Tony); and his sister-in-law Renee Nichols. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
