She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Lancaster and Hester Lancaster; her husband Rev. James W. Hicks, Jr.; her siblings, Jimmy Lancaster, Eugene "Chick" Lancaster, Bobby Lancaster, Kenneth Royal Lancaster and Fannie Elizabeth Lancaster; her siblings-in-law, Mary Frances Lancaster and Donald Hicks; and her grandson Robin Kelley.
She is survived by: her children, Vickie Pate (Glenn Pate) of Goldsboro, Janice Sasser (Glenn) of Goldsboro, Norma Braswell (Scott) of Goldsboro and James Hicks, III; her sisters, Agnes Ann Green (Jimmie) of Elm City and Dolly Mozingo of Wilson; her sisters-in-law, Doris Lancaster of Pikeville, Edna Lancaster of Wilmington and Joan Kearney (Ronnie) of Pikeville; her grandchildren, Rev. David Pate (Tabitha Pate) of Townsville, NC, Jennifer Lane (Jonathan) of Goldsboro, Christie Worthington (Travis) of Snow Hill, Michelle Capps (Michael) of Smithfield, Joseph Braswell (Toni Faith) of Four Oaks, Wesley Hicks (Jamie) of Elizabeth City and Michael Hicks (Savannah) of Elizabeth City; and her great grandchildren, Russell Pate, Annabelle Lane, Willow Lane, Makayla Kelley, Natalie Worthington, Leyna Worthington, Hailey Boyette, Jaydan Boyette, Logan Capps, Reagan Capps, Luke Capps, Grayson Braswell, Travon Turner, Makenna Turner and Briar Hicks. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
