He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Faircloth Mitchell; his son Leon Frank Mitchell of Goldsboro; his siblings, David Benton Mitchell (Kay) of Goldsboro, Pauline Faircloth (Edmund) of Goldsboro, Joyce Cooke of Goldsboro and Carol Mitchell (Billy) of Goldsboro; his siblings-in-law, Durwood Evans of Princeton and Katie E. Mitchell of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Brandon Ferguson, Brooke Adams (Cody), Nathan Mitchell, Lyndsi Mitchell, Kalyn Aycock and Kenzi Aycock; and his great grandchild Danielle Ferguson.
