He is survived by: his wife Margaret Beard Whaley; his children, Leigh Hickman (Glen) of Lilburn, GA and Larry F. Whaley, Jr. of Goldsboro; and his grandchildren, Kurt Hickman, Katie Hickman and Molly Hickman.
