He is survived by: his wife Shelby Dunevant Kinnett; his daughter Bertha Mae Rowe of Pollocksville; and his stepchildren, Randall Cates, Mechanicsville, Carlton Cates of Graham, N. C., Deborah Zimmer, Chesterfield and Cynthia Pulliam. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
