He was predeceased by: his parents, William Millard Holt and Kizzie Lee Holt; his wife Francis LaVerne Evans Holt; and his siblings, Banks Holt, Robert Holt, John Holt, Ada Marshall, Thelma Vest and Sara Holt.
He is survived by: his children, James "Jimmy" Cashus Holt, Jr. and Shelia Campbell (Richard) of Farmville; his girlfriend Patty Addison; his sisters, Mildred Hadnott of Pine Level and Mary Batten of Fort Collins, Colorado; his grandchildren, Sarah Hardin, Mary Beth Campbell, Cashus Paul Holt, Jenny Lynn Holt and Joshua Miller; and his great grandchild Luke Hardin.
