He was predeceased by: his parents, Acely Tart and Preston Avery; and his sisters, Sharon Byrd and Connie Penny (Elizabeth Byrd). He is survived by: his daughters, Tammy Byrd of Erwin, Susan Spurlock (Will) of Lawrenceville, GA and Kimberly Vincent (Ray) of Fountain Inn, SC.; and his brother Al Byrd of Newport News, VA.. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
