He was predeceased by: his parents, Elton Berket and Ethel Irene Crocker Butts. He is survived by: his wife Carol Braswell Butts; his children, Kevin Dewayne Butts (Angie) of Princeton and Kerry Butts Proctor (Mike) of Clayton; his siblings, Dale Butts of Brattleboro, VT, Brenda Butts Creech (Stacy) of Selma and Gail Butts Creech of Smithfield; and his grandchildren, Samantha Irene Proctor, Sadey Lynn Butts and Jonah Michael Proctor.
