He was predeceased by: his parents, James Braddie Tart and Josephine Lee Tart; and his brothers, Willie, Layton and Lonnie Tart.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Geneva Hartley Turner; his children, Gerard Tart Jr. (Shannon), Alicia Galloway of Asheville and Erica Fasciana (Nick); his sister Amelda Johnson; his grandchildren, Erik, Gage, Tye, Logan, Liam and Taya; and his great grandchild Erik.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Parrish Funeral Home Chapel (1351 S Pollock St, Selma, NC 27576). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Parrish Funeral Home, Inc. (1351 S Pollock St, Selma, NC 27576).
