He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Humphrey; his daughters, Sandra Burnette (Bill) of Hendersonville and Georgia Faircloth of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Toby Faircloth (Beth), Mary Gurganus (Blake), Kourtney Humphrey and Noah Humphrey; his great grandchildren, Trey Faircloth, Gavin Faircloth, Bailee Faircloth and Tate Gurganus; his siblings, Leonard Humphrey (Pauline) of Jacksonville and Mary Mitchell of Jacksonville; and his close friends, Joe, Margaret Sadler, Dolly Bass and Blair Wade.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in George's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
