He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Arthur Pool and Ola Susan Hudson Pool; and his wife Elizabeth Jean Conner Pool. He is survived by: his son Derrieck Pool; his grandchildren, Browning (Debbie), Ashley (Robert), Autumn, Beatty and Riley; his daughter Debbie Bailey (Joe); his grandchildren, Joey Bailey (Jenny), Emily Clarke (Matt), Linzy Baker (Brian), Missy Bailey, Joseph, James Bailey, Seth Clarke, Macy and Aiden Baker; and his brother Otis Pool (Arlene).

Although flowers are welcome, the family suggest contributions be made to Rosewood High School Athletics, 583 Princeton Road, Princeton, NC 27569.
