Though Edward may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Edward touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Lee and Carrie Lee Edmonds Puryear; his wife Margie Mitchell Puryear; his son Ricky Wayne Puryear; and his brothers, Lexton, Ray and Lindsey Puryear.
He is survived by: his daughter Janet Marie Puryear Coffey of Princeton; and his siblings, David Puryear of Knightdale, Roy Puryear of Garner and Martha Coates of Wendell. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Casey Funeral Home & Cremations (105 E 1st St, Princeton, NC 27569). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM and at 3:00 PM at the Casey Funeral Home & Cremations Chapel (105 E 1st St, Princeton, NC 27569).
