We are sad to announce that on February 7, 2025, at the age of 90, Dixie Loree Matson Anthony (Princeton, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Neil Ray Anthony; her daughters, Patricia Clapp and Gloria Daniels; her grandson Phillip Capps; and her siblings, Donald Matson, David Matson, Dorothy Scott and Beulah Gill.
She is survived by: her children, Robin Anthony (Kay) of Grantham, Georgene Capps (Donnie) of Princeton, Janeil Marak (Paul) of Goldsboro and Michelle Davenport (Marty) of Goldsboro; her siblings, Dennis R. Matson (Nancy) of McCook, NE., Dolores Wood of Littleton, CO, Devona Sattler of Herndon, KS, Carolyn Wallace of Omaha, NE and Vicki Magee (Sue) of Arvada, CO.; and her grandchildren, Kevin Capps (Beth), Heath Capps (Melissa), Christopher Hatem (Karen), Cody Daniels (Laura), Heather Massengill (Joe), Paul Anthony (Annie), Amanda Lee (Charlie), Shayla Marak, Toree Marak and Laine Marak. She is also survived by her family as a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Caregiver.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Grace Baptist Church (220 Barden St, Princeton, NC 27569). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro 27534 in memory of Dixie Anthony.
