It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Thompson Laurance of Princeton, North Carolina, who passed away on January 1, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, David Thompson is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that David Thompson's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Cecil and Lillian Margaret Thompson Laurance; his daughter Lori Ann Laurance; and his siblings, Craig Laurance, Plin Laurance and Christine Schrock.
He is survived by: his wife Cherri Joette Creech-Laurance; his sons, David C. Laurance of Portland, OR and Mark T. Laurance (Sarah) of Medford, OR; and his siblings, Joanie Orr of Pleasanton, CA and Dick Orr (Dave Orr) of Canyonville, OR. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews.
The family recommends memorial contributions to be made to the American Heart Association.
