She was predeceased by: her parents, Haskel McIlwain and Lillie Mae Thompson McIlwain; her husband Robert Cunningham; her granddaughter Terilyn Cunningham; and her brother Charles McIlwain.
She is survived by: her children, Terrence Lee Cunningham, Sr. of Indian Trail, NC, Carlos Cunningham (Stephanie) of Chester, VA, Derrick Cunningham (Terri) of Concord, NC and Tonya Ray (John) of Charlotte, NC; and her sister-in-law Joelyn McIlwain of North Babylon, NY. She is also survived by six grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
