We bid farewell to Sylvia Johnson Sparks of Powells Point, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 13, 2025 at the age of 82. Sylvia Johnson touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dwight Johnson and Kathryn Rhodes Johnson; her husband James Ellis Sparks; and her son Daniel O'Neal Sparks. She is survived by: her sons, Jim Sparks (Virginia) and Brad Sparks (Brook); her grandchildren, Bradley Sparks, Jonathan Sparks, Bagby Sparks, Eliza Sparks and Parker Sparks; and her sister-in-law Diane Sparks Chappell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Currituck County Library, 4261 Caratoke Highway, Barco, NC 27917.
