He is survived by: his spouse Helen Gray Hanig; his children, Debbie Marshall (Dave) of Virginia Beach, VA, Leslie Townsend (Tim) of Grandy, NC, Kelli Thompson (Mark) of Corolla, NC and Bobby Hanig of Powells Point, NC; and his sister Connie Drake (Marshall). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
