It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael John Nord of Pollocksville, North Carolina, who passed away on November 2, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Nord and Emil Nord; his wife Nora Nord; his sister-in-law Carol Nord; and his nephew Robert Michael Nord.

He is survived by: his brother Philip Nord; his former wife Carolyn Parker; his children, Andrew Hubsch (Vashti Ramsaroop) and Linnea Parker (Josh Brookreson); his granddaughter Kelsey Hogan; his niece Karin Nord; and his nephew Randy Nord (Jeanette).

Memorial donations are being accepted in Mr. Nord's memory to the Baltimore International Seafarer's Center and the Swedish Seamen's Church of New York.
