She was predeceased by: her parents, Laura Ann Mitchell (Stackpole) and Colin Mitchell; and her brother William Jeffery Mitchell. She is survived by: her brother Gary Mitchell (Bibiana Mitchell); her nieces and nephews, Carrie Lape (Rodney Pressley), Meridith Vachon (Michael Vachon), Jamie Mitchell, Charles Mitchell (Dawn), Joseph Mitchell (Christa) and Robert Mitchell (Chelsea); and her close friends, Doris Sawyer and Maggie Sawyer Doll. She is also survived by several great-nieces, nephews, and several great-great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church- Pollocksville (282 Piney Grove Rd, Pollocksville, NC 28573).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Breast Cancer Association.
