With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Annie McKee Greene of Polkville, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on January 29, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Everett McKee and Pearl Louise Philbeck Costner; her husband James Oliver Greene; and her siblings, Lewis Scruggs, Harold Scruggs, C. B. Scruggs and Virginia Sigmon.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Wayne Greene (Evelyn) of Auburn, Alabama and Rachel Walker (Glenn Walker) of Polkville; her siblings, Billy Scruggs of Patterson Springs and Etta Mae Turner of Caroleen; and her grandchildren, Nicholas Greene (Christina), Dr. Jonas Greene (Van), Josiah Greene (Heidi), Jimmy Walker (Bobbie) and Jonya Smith (Chris). She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
